Here is a quick checklist which should help you
to do a fixture update via DMX Link step-by-step:

**************** A) PREPERATION ****************

A1.)	Download the "GLP D3Prog Software" ZP-File from www.glp.de

A2.) Extract the ZIP file to a folder in the PC drive.

A3.)	Start the USB driver setup file "CDM v2.08.30 WHQL Certified" to set up the required SUB drivers. Then restart the PC.

A4.) Now start the D3Prog software (e.g. pa612-32) on the PC

A5.) Check whether the SW version is up to date. Use the attached PDF document: "GLP D3Prog Firmware Log"

A6.) Now connect the "GLP D3Prog device" to the PC using a USB cable. Switch on the D3Prog.

A7.) Go to "File > Test Line" to check communication between PC and D3Prog. The Display of the D3Prog should show "PG-ONL" and a message "Programmer ready" should pop up.

A8.) Check whether the D3Prog Device Firmware version is up to date. You can see it in the information window at "Type of Prog.". The latest Bootloader (example ... /4 / ..) and Firmware ( example ../ Vers.:42) and version you can find in the folder "D3Prog Device Firmware Bootloader".

*A9.)	If necessery update the D3Prog Device by using "Prog.Update" and select the latest "Firmware file" in the folder "D3Prog Device Firmware Bootloader".

*A10.)	If the Fixture-Update-Files to update the GLP Fixture has a higher datavolume, than it could be necessery to change the available 16 small memory slots to just 4 bigger memory slots. For that go to "Prog.Update > Set DProg Type" and change between 4 or 16 files.

**************** B) UPLOADING AN UPDATE FILE TO ONE OF THE D3PROG MEMORY SLOTS (ONLINE) ****************

B1.) Check that the "D3Prog PC Software" is running and that the "D3Prog Device" is switched on, connected via USB and the device shows "PG-ONL".

B2.) Go to "File > Type of File" and choose if you want to update using a "BIN-File" or "Intel Standard File (HEX)". We suggest to use a BIN file.

B3.) Go to "File > Open File" and select the "Fixture-Update-File" (BIN or Intel Standard File (HEX)) which you want to push on a GLP fixture.

B4.) Go to "Transfer File" and select one of the 4/16 empty Memory Slots of the D3Prog. (Notice *A10).
Please wait until this has been completed.
Now the firmware update file should be transferred to the D3Prog.
The D3Prog can then be removed from the PC and used independently to update the device.

**************** C) UPDATING A GLP FIXTURE BY USING D3PROG (OFFLINE) ****************

C1.)	Switch on the D3Prog.
IMPORTANT ! Check that the battery capacity is sufficient for a firmware update.

C2.)	Connect the D3Prog via DMX Cable with one or multiple GLP Fixture you want to update.

C2.) Under "Mode/Choose File" select the appropriate update file.
Then go back to the main level of the device with "Mode".

C3.) Then go to the main menu item "Program via DMX".
NOTE: With ENTER you now immediately trigger the device firmware update process.

! Always make a test update at a test fixture !
! Check the time which is needed for an update - that helps you to calculate the full update process of different lines
! Check Battery Capacity of the D3Prog and power connection of the fixture - avoid any loss of power during updating !
! NEVER DO IT A MINUTE BEFORE SHOWSTART !

C4.)	After the file has been transferred to the headlight, a restart is necessary.
